Data access sets are a crucial element in this process, as they define the access privileges for Ledgers and Ledger Sets. The following instructions guide you through the steps to configure and manage data access effectively.

  • Data access sets establish access privileges for one or more Ledgers or Ledger Sets.
  • Navigate to ‘Setup and Maintenance.’
  • In the top-right corner of the window, click the checkbox.
  • Select ‘Manage implementation projects.’
  • Within the ‘Manage implementation projects’ section, go to ‘FIN Implementation project.’
  • Access the following path:
    • ‘Financials’
    • ‘Define common applications configuration for financials’
    • ‘Define security for financials’
    • ‘Define Data security for financials’
    • ‘Manage data Access for users.’
  • Click the ‘Plus (+)’ button to create data access for users.
  • Choose the User name, Role, security context, and Security context value.
  • Click ‘Save and close.’
  • You will now be able to view the data access set created for a specific user.
  • To download the access information in an XLSX file, click ‘authorize additional data access.’
  • For security purposes, you will need to enter your user login password to open the XLSX file.”
