Enabling Location-Based Access Control

To activate this functionality, you must have the IT Security Manager role to access the Security Console.

  • Navigate to Tools, click Security Console, and select Administration Tab.
  • The Location-Based Access Control page is currently hidden.

To reveal the Location-Based Access Control tab on the Administration Page, you need to modify the “Enable Access to Location-Based Access Control” profile option.

  • Go to Setup and Maintenance > Manage Administration Profile Values.
  • Set the profile values to “Yes” at the site level.
  • Click Save and Close.

Return to the Security Console > Administration Tab.

Disabling Location-Based Access

To deactivate location-based access, simply uncheck the “Enable Location-Based Access” box. Existing IP addresses will be retained in a read-only state, allowing you to reuse the same information when reactivating the feature. You can also add or remove IP addresses as needed.
