Creating Access Controls:
Before you start creating access controls in AACG 8.6.3, remember that each control is built on a model, and every model relies on entitlements. Therefore, make sure you have at least one access model in place before attempting to create access controls. You can convert multiple access models into controls simultaneously.
It’s essential to note that when creating an access model processing logic, names, and descriptions must remain distinct. However, other values will be the same for all the controls created simultaneously. In summary, to create an access control, ensure you have access models and entitlements ready.
Creating Access Entitlements:
From the Navigation Panel, go to “Navigator,” then select “Control Management” from the drop-down list, and click on “Manage Access Entitlements.”

To add a new entitlement, click on the “Actions” button, and choose “Add.”

A new row will appear. Double-click each field to begin entering data (Note: Fields marked with an asterisk * are mandatory).

Start filling in the necessary details.

Now, you’ll need to add “Access Points” to the defined entitlement. Click on the “Access Points*” button, as shown below.

Click the “Access Points*”. A box will be shown.

Select the relevant functions and drag-and-drop the functions that correspond to the entitlement you’re creating into the box below the “Access Points*” button, as shown below.

Once all the required fields are filled, and the necessary “Access Points” are present in the box, click the “Save” button to store the new entitlement in the system.

In conclusion, AACG 8.6.3 allows you to efficiently manage access controls and entitlements, ensuring the security and integrity of your system. Make sure you have access models and entitlements in place to streamline the process of creating controls and entitlements, enabling effective control management.
